The syslog shows you are trying to add files to the ‘photos’ share, but you seem to have all your drives set as excluded for this share so there is nowhere available to put the files.

Trying to add to my media share, also rebooted and can’t add, exclude drives to the shares or change the minimum free space in any sharesIMG_0391.thumb.png.f60d71b3cb9634ff0fd2689ce9976a9c.png

For all the shares that are set to not use a pool it seems the configuration files under config/shares on the flash drive seem to have the 'excluded disks' entry set to exclude  "disk1,disk2,disk3,disk4".   This does not agree with your screenshot of the settings which is not showing the values for Included and Excluded disks although there is obviously something wrong as some entries appear twice.   Quite how this is happening I do not know.

You could try deleting the .cfg files from the flash drive for such shares and let Unraid recreated them with default settings to see if that helps.

Or just do a dummy change and apply on those shares.

I thought that would not be enough as the OP mentioned he could not make any change to a share settings.

My suggestion was to simply delete the sharename.cfg type files for the problem shares from the config/shares folder on the flash drive to cause Unraid to recreate them with default values.    Easiest way to do this is to use the Dynamix File Manager by clicking on the leftmost icon on the Boot device on the main tab.    You can also use that to (optionally) look at the current content of the files as they are text files.

Thanks just in time I did this and my parity check kicked in, but I was able to see in the shares that I could now set the free space and which discs to use, so looks like it’s fixed

thank you
