[advice] AMD FM1 APU + unRAID

Featured Replies

HI guys, 2 quick questions.

1. after searching on the subject a little bit,

i tend to believe that AMD FM1 APU's work ok with unRAID.

Anyone could confirm this?

video wise, no issue with drivers or anything?

or i have no choice but to use the WebUI from another computer on my network?

2. is using the Realtek 8111E Lan chipset with the latest unRAID v5 beta stable enough?

or it should be avoided?

thanks you :)

Sorry, but I can't confirm this for you... no direct experience.

unRAID uses very basic video drivers, so I don't foresee any issues here

When unRAID boots and you have a monitor attached you will ONLY see a command line.  There is on GUI, no dekstop, or similar type environment on the machine itself.  Everything on a basic install of unRAID can be and is controlled from the unRAID webUI from another computer on the network.

From the lack of "complaints" I would say that the NIC is working just fine on the latest beta release.
