November 11, 20241 yr My Unraid server has not become unresponsive a couple times despite this never for a year prior. I started looking into possible reasons, and my issue only appeared after trying to use DuckDNS and a VPN to get into my server. This never worked for me presumably because of my Portforwarding issues but I've since deleted DuckDNS and gotten rid of all traces of this. My only other thought besides it being something with my network is maybe my ram but I doubt it. I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose this. tower-diagnostics-20241110-1927.zip
November 11, 20241 yr Thank you for posting your diag file. will review it shortly. In meant time form quick glance... unraid recently partnered with tailscale a vpn service that you won't have to fight port forwarding on to use. in regard to duckdns and a vpn... in regard to server instability issues we need a monitor to have terminal connect reboot unraid and run memtest at grub boot option... otherwise click main > flash >b ackup the flash and copy your key out of the conf folder. Format the falsh drive 9the backup flash is a duplicate copy to restore form... and reinstall unraid and start fresh.
November 11, 20241 yr per sys log your PC may be overheating. I see some plugin that you have used to help adjust this: Nov 10 19:27:24 Tower autofan: Highest disk temp is 40C, adjusting fan speed from: 195 (76% @ 837rpm) to: 165 (64% @ 770rpm) Nov 10 19:27:24 Tower autofan: Highest disk temp is 40C, adjusting fan speed from: 170 (66% @ 1070rpm) to: 140 (54% @ 903rpm) Nov 10 19:27:24 Tower autofan: Highest disk temp is 39C, adjusting fan speed from: 155 (60% @ 837rpm) to: 100 (39% @ 770rpm) will need to dig into that plugin. I'm not sure what the "flash.remount.plg - 2021.09.06 (Up to date)" plugin is...
November 12, 20241 yr Author Solution Thanks for the advice. In regards to the overheating, I'm aware my drives run a little hot that's just mainly due to the case I use atm but they don't ever go over 41C in high usage times. The flash remount plugin I've uninstalled for the moment and am waiting for the problem to reappear. In the event that it doesn't reappear all I've done so far is completely remove the VPN tunnel as the host settings were still there and of course the Flash remount plugin. Will update within 5 days uptime should it not appear before than. Edited November 12, 20241 yr by DragonBalls

No problems with Unraid Hanging, likely happened from me updating my applications and the updates got stuck thus forcing me to restart my server. A number of things probably got messed up due to this so after getting rid of the problem plugin it fixed.
