SSD Compatibility Unraid 7

Featured Replies

A few months ago, I installed ~10-14 PM1633 and PM1643a and the performance was limited to ~50MB/s. After talking to @limetech, we determined that the kernel was most likely causing the issue. Since then I switched over to TrueNAS Scale and i'm not all that happy with it. I want to go back to Unraid but wanted to ask if anyone has some of these drives to see if the kernel has been update to better support these drives?

did you try beta 7, I have a unraid v7 beat 4 with a PM1633 with a dell server I did for testing a brief time. I Moved off the platform due to sas drives.

but on beta i didn't have any noticeable issues.

I have not tried the beta. I was running Unraid 6.12.11 when I made the switch. What was the situation with the SAS drives? What firmware are you running on the PM1633's?

I don't know it was a used dell I got off a friend and it wasn't running long maybe a month or two. moved to newer hardware. all i can say is try the beta.

I'm on 6.12.13 and see expected speeds with PM1633 via a LSI 9305-16e

This is good news, I was using PM1633 and PM1643a drives with a LSI9400 (Lenovo 430-16i)
