Cpu fan controlled by unraid. Please Help me.

Featured Replies

Hello, please help me because I'm desperate. As I had read, Yesterday I installed the ITE IT87 Driver, rebooted and then installed the Dynamix Auto Fan Control and the Dynamix System Temperature. The problem is, after that, in command line I I typed the command "pwmconfig", it detected the fans, asked me if I wanted the fans to be controlled automatically or Manual. I chose automatic and then, showed a message saying it was going to stop all fans for 5 seconds. Well, The problem:
After that, the cpu fan is almost at full power, because of course, it takes as a reference the temperature of the hard drives and not the cpu, because of course, it takes as reference the temperature of the hard disks and not the micro... I said to myself, well, nothing happens, I uninstall the ITE IT87 Driver, Dynamix Auto Fan Control and Dynamix System Temperature, reboot and ready. Well, nothing at all. After doing that and restarting, the cpu fan is still at full power making a tremendous noise. If I spindown the array and wait for the hard disks to cool down, then the cpu fan starts to stop making noise, so it is still controlled by unraid and not by the BIOS.
What can I do to get the cpu fan back to be controlled by the bios? I'm desperate, I don't know what to do now....

Not really, this is not supported by stock Unraid, you can try one of the available plugins.
