November 16, 20241 yr Howdy! I have been using unraid for a few years now and it has been largely smooth sailing. I love the product! This morning (11/15) I noticed that my Win10 machine was no longer connected to my unraid NAS. I looked through my automated backups and saw that they were connected still at 2am local time (6 hours before I saw they were disconnected). I have since been unable to get the two computers reconnected. I don't know of any updates or anything that changed that might have caused this issue. As a result, I am unsure if the issue is with my NAS, my router, or my windows computer. I have attempted everything I can to address any of the three. Currently the NAS boots just fine and can access the internet. My docker containers and VMs work perfectly. I am unable to access the web GUI from anywhere else on the network (I tried to access it with an old laptop as well as my phone). I made sure to try both the ip address and the name and neither one worked. The router sees the NAS, but no pings work. They all come back "Destination host unreachable". This is true in safe mode as well as normal mode. I have attached the diagnostics below in hopes that I can get unstuck on this problem. If there doesn't appear to be a problem in the diagnostics maybe that points to issues with my router or even the windows pc. Thanks in advance for your help! chopper-diagnostics-20241115-2207.zip

November 16, 20241 yr Community Expert Your Unraid server IP address is 168.192.1.13 and it is assigned as a static IP address. On your router, make sure that nothing else is assigned that same address. ( Your router should have provision to assign IP addresses for devices that have static IP addresses.)

I just verified that my router has nothing else assigned to that IP address and my router is set to assign that address to my Unraid server. Still can't access my shares on either pc or phone.
November 16, 20241 yr Community Expert Apparently, you have a console attached to your server. Try this ping test and see if you get a response: ping 8.8.8.8 Then find the IPv4 address of your PC. (Settings >>> Network & internet >>> Ethernet) Then ping that address.

I can ping 8.8.8.8 from my Unraid Server just fine. When I attempt to ping the PC, I get the message "Destination host unreachable".

Before setting up Unraid I used the PC as a Plex Server and ran into issues when it wasn't static. So I made it static and I never changed it back. And I'm also quite stumped! I spent all day yesterday on this one. I was hoping that I was just missing something. Is there any other info I can provide that might help?
November 16, 20241 yr Community Expert One more thing. Reboot the router and all switches attached to it. You might even restart/reboot the server and PC after doing this.

November 17, 20241 yr Author Solution I managed to get this fixed! I did a full factory reset of my router and that fixed it! Not sure what got messed up there, but I'm glad it is working now! Thank you everyone who helped walk me through some troubleshooting
