Parity check showed errors on parity drive, cause for concern?

Featured Replies

So I just ran a not-correcting parity check recently on my array and the parity drive had 167 errors.

Extended SMART test on said drive completed without errors.

Should I be concerned?

It's logged as a disk problem, but this type of error can be intermittent, and since the SMART test passed disk is OK for now, keep monitoring, but any more similar errors you may consider replacing it.

Thanks!

Should I still be concerned?

If it's not the first time, I would replace the disk

Ok. That is going to be possibly very hard. I'm going to evaluate my options. Thanks for the info.
