March 10, 201214 yr Im running 4.7 without a parity drive whilst i build my array Following a recent restart my user shares have vanished - the files are intact and accessible on the disk shares but no user shares are visible The config file in still contains details of the user shares and with a little trial and error and some research on the forums the problem appears to be my cache drive When it is unassigned user shares are visible and accessible, when its assigned nothing This seems to be the relevant part of my syslog EDIT - ive disabled auto startup of SAB, Sick and Couch and tried deleting the user0 folder with no joy Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: _shcmd: shcmd (34): exit status: 1 (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: shcmd (35): cp /etc/exports- /etc/exports (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: shcmd (36): mkdir /mnt/user (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: shcmd (37): /usr/local/sbin/shfs /mnt/user -cache 1 -floor -o noatime,big_writes,allow_other,default_permissions (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: _shcmd: shcmd (37): exit status: 1 (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: shcmd (38): mkdir /mnt/user0 (Other emhttp) Mar 10 22:07:18 Homeserver emhttp: shcmd (39): /usr/local/sbin/shfs /mnt/user0 -cache 0 -o noatime,big_writes,allow_other,default_permissions (Other emhttp) When i run resierfsck --check on the cahce drive it asks me to use the rebuild option Any help appreciated EDIT - SAB, Sick and Couch auto startup now disabled and ive tried deleting the user0 folder
March 10, 201214 yr Then run it with the rebuild option it suggests. I believe it's --rebuilt-tree but that's from memory.
March 10, 201214 yr Author Seemed like the best option but the warnings in the wiki worried me a little so id thought id check to see if there was another solution Thanks
March 11, 201214 yr Author Re read the wiki and released that i needed to run reiserfsck on /dev/sdi1 as it was my cache drive not a data drive file check came back fine and given the shares work fine without a cache drive so i manually edited the share data in the config folder of the flash drive and disabled use of the cache drive - rebooted and ran initconfig, rebooted again and shares are back working fine Guess ill bin the cache drive and install another
