MY system has been operating perfectly until the other night.  I have not added or changed anything on the server side of the system in at least 8-12 months.  Now my unraid will only boot and start a parity check.  Within 30 minutes or so the shares will go offline and the system freezes.  My syslog shows segfaults throughout like this:

Run memtest to check for errors. Segfault is an error when a program tries to access a memory address that is not allocated or does not belong to it. Ram going bad could cause this, especially for a known stable system with no changes, its likely its a hardware problem.

Run memtest overnight.

Thanks, I did not even need to run memtest overnight, it showed up rather quickly.  I have pulled the offending stick, now just need to get a replacement, will have to run on 512 until then.
