I'm in the process of setting up my first array - I'm currently sharing lots of media via NFS to a few clients.

 

On my main machine (mac os), I'm experiencing some issues with listening to mp3's via an NFS share.

 

Songs are stuttering and cutting out but I'm not sure why, theres not a great deal of network activity and the unraid box isnt under heavy load.

 

I presume this is a problem with my NFS client settings on OSX but I'm not able to spot what I should tweak after reading the wiki. Does this sound like a client issue/NFS param?

I don't know which verion of Unraid you are running, but in general NFS is poorly implemented in Unraid.

 

You are better of using Samba or AFP.

 

 

I'm on v5 beta 14 - I've just mounted via Samba and all appears well. Guess I'll avoid NFS.
