[SOLD]Caviar Black 1 Tb

Featured Replies

Caviar Black 1 TB Model WD1002FAEX

These are on Newegg for $139 and Best Buy for $137.99, (which surprised me)

I'd like to sell it for $110, which includes shipping(to the US).

Warranty good through 4/19/2014

I know its not much of a "discount". Drive is new, just got it from WD today. Still in static bag and box, just gotta slap a new label on and away it goes.

Interesting note, Newegg is selling the drive for $139, and the same drive refurbished for $149. The new drive does have a instant $10 off, but still to charge the same for refurb vs new is insane!

No replies at all? Is the price too high or just that its a Caviar black and most people on these forums go for green drives?

7200 rpm drives if used typically go in the parity or cache slot. Since most are looking at going 3TB the 1s get passed up. 2TB really don't cost that much more either. Makes for a tough sell at close to retail.

I have a few blacks in my array. I bought them a few years back at a similar price point and specifically for the 5 year warrantee. They are good drives. Not a single issue with them.

I'd like to sell it for $110, which includes shipping(to the US).

Warranty good through 4/19/2014

They are $129.99 right now on Amazon with free 2 day shipping for prime members.  They also have a 5 year warranty on them.  Your price might not be right, especially considering that for an extra $20 people could get an extra 3 years of warranty.

I do agree though, solid drive.  Would make a good cache drive if you are looking for one.

Well if someone wants to make me an offer they can. I'm just looking to get rid of it as it has no place in my array. I have a solid cache drive and it is too small for my parity as was pointed out earlier.

As I said its not much of a discount, but it is a new drive, only reason for the 2 year warranty is because it is a RMA replacement. I RMA'd its predecessor and now simply don't have a need for it.

So as I said, if someone is interested make me an offer. My goal is to use what I get from this to put towards a 2TB green drive. Not trying to screw anyone on price, wasn't sure what to ask for it since it is essentially a new drive, :)
