Probably not the right place for this, but I see you mention you are running beta 5 with no issues and similar hardware. I am running similar hardware to this post and am using 2xSuperMicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 cards also. I am looking to upgrade to a beta 5 version in the next few weeks but after some quick reads in the beta forums it looks like there are some issues with these cards in the newest betas. Just curious what version you are running. You on version 12 or are you able to run 14 with no issues. Thanks for the info!
March 13, 201214 yr Without knowing the complete hardware list it is a little difficult to give a suggestion. If you are running 2 of the SASLP cards you should be fine with running the latest beta (5.0b14). The SATA controllers that have issues in 5.0b14 are LSI based ones, not yours.

Thanks for the quick response. My complete hardware list is basically exactly the 20+ budget build rack mount on your website. ECS board, 2 SASLP cards, Norco 4224. Only thing different is that I beefed up the RAM and CPU a bit to ensure that it would work smoothly using the cache to run a few applications including the ps3 media server.
March 14, 201214 yr This is correct. My Box with MV8's is running beta 14. my box with the M1015's is stuck on 12 for now. No problems there either. then again i do not use NFS or AFP so I cant comment there.
