kingpin
i have a drobo at my parents house for simple backups (i bought years ago when the original came out). well, if finally died and now i have no way to get the information off of it. i know its a long shot, but i am wondering if anyone here has one that i can borrow long enough (1 day) to get the data off and on to my unraid. I would of course pay the shipping both ways and a little extra for the trouble. i am in wisconsin (reedsburg) and drive truck quite a bit so i could possible just bring the drives with and meet someone. there isn't much data (2) 250GB, 400GB, 500GB drives are/were installed and no where close to full. let me know christopher Link to comment
speeding_ant
Give drobo support a ring. Failing that, sales. We got a loaner unit for free when ours died. Link to comment
Rajahal
Ouch, sorry to hear about your troubles. This is what has always scared me about Drobo's proprietary file system. Sorry I don't have a drobo, so I can't offer any help. I would second speeding_ant's suggestion. Link to comment

Johnm
there is always the option of buying a new one. getting your data and then returning it and paying the restocking fee. Drobo sales might have an option for that? Link to comment
