March 14, 201214 yr HP ProLiant N40L MicroServer Turion II Neo N40L 1.5GHz 2GB 1x250GB SATA NHP GigNIC $179.99 (includes 250 GB HDD) Mod Edit - Fixed broken link and jazzed it up a bit. - Raj
March 14, 201214 yr I was able to add it to my cart and start the checkout process. I didn't complete my order because I'm not sure if I'll have a use for this. Anyone know if this unit can accomodate a Ceton InfiniTV 4 PCIe tuner card? Also, will it accept non-ECC memory?
March 14, 201214 yr Author Rajahal, I just saw on another forum that they were out of stock earlier but seems that they are taking orders once again. NodNarb012, I honestly know nothing about this server, I just ran across it over at slickdeals.net which I check every morning and figured it might interest a person or two over here. They have a 12 page thread going over there about it right now and skimming through I see they are sharing some of their experience with it. You can probably get a good idea about what it can and cant do from there. http://slickdeals.net/f/4064978-HP-ProLiant-N40L-Ultra-Micro-Tower-Server-System-658553-w-AMD-Turion-II-Neo-N40L-1-5GHz-2GB-DDR3-250GB-HDD-180-Free-Shipping?
March 14, 201214 yr Anyone wanting to read about unRAID on the Microservers should go here . And yes, you have to use ECC memory I believe.
March 14, 201214 yr I already placed my order. Hopefully they'll have stock to fulfill it. A few posters on SlickDeals claim that it will run with non-ECC memory. I have 2x2GB non-ECC sticks that I can throw in there to test once I get it. Still not sure if the Ceton card will fit. If not, I'll have to find another purpose for this or try to sell it. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for the post! You'll have no problem moving it here if you decide it's not for you. It's a fantastic unRAID platform.
March 14, 201214 yr Now the link is down again, so I assume they are out of stock. Lame! Yeah, SD has that effect on websites with good deals.
March 14, 201214 yr Not only does it support non-ECC, you can use non-ECC and ECC at the same time -- I'm using 1GB ECC and 4GB non-ECC.
