March 18, 201214 yr ok after the long problems with NIC's and other things, and heaven help my data. I think I'll try to migrate over to v5 but which? 5b12 or 5b14? Which is more stable and reliable? Second issue, I'm using the Kingston reader, so I was going to just put v5 on a new card, so what's the best method to transfer the configuration over?

This depends on your hardware. I would run a parity check. shutdown server copy entire sd card to the new sd card. Do the "recommended upgrade" on new sd make sure you run the bat to make it bootable. you might need to change a few things in your go file if you have old addons and such running.. boot. verify the server came online ok. if good, run the change permissions script. check parity... i might have missed a few details so a second opinion might be a good idea..

M'board Asus M5A78L-M LX CPU AMD Athlon II X3 455 CoolerMaster SilentProM 700w Power Supply 2x Crucial 4 GB DDR3-1333 (CT51264BA1339) 6x Hitachi 2k3000, 2tb However I am considering a new M'Board.. undecided, want to see how this goes. And the power supply will change, again undecided. I want something modular, the less excess cables the better the airflow (had an OCZ ModStream come in, damn split rails), so I'm leaning toward this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341051 54A on the 12v rail, should be more than enough for eventual 10 of those Hitachi's.

Hello, Try 5b14, I only went back to 5b12a because I wanted support for a certain SATA controller (m1015), your MB NIC will be supported. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=16178.msg155210#msg155210 Are you using that Kingston Reader with a SD or micro-SD card? Can you let me know which Type and model it is?
March 18, 201214 yr Author Are you using that Kingston Reader with a SD or micro-SD card? Can you let me know which Type and model it is? SD card. Right now the one that came with it (Kingston) but I have a new PNY card to replace (8gb for $12 at BB yesterday) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+-+8GB+Secure+Digital+High+Capacity+%28SDHC%29+Class+4+Memory+Card/8554833.p?id=1188561456052&skuId=8554833&st=pny%208gb%20sd&cp=1&lp=1
March 19, 201214 yr Author Thanks. Have you got your server up and running yet? Oh yeah, up and running, about 8tb copied over, waiting on some PCI-e SATA cards so I can hang the other 4 drives. It's just these little... annoyances... that are making me crazy (NIC, Powersupply, etc..)
March 20, 201214 yr Author I'm still on 4.7, haven't move to 5b-anything yet.. my reading does have me leaning to 5b12a
