What is the best way for me to find out if moving towards an unraid 5 build will work for me ?

 

I have an ASUS A8N-E mainboard and a supermicro aoc-saslp-mv8 expansion card. All WD EARS/EARX drives.

I have a pro key for 4.7. 4.7 is working great for me, I did not state my question clearly.. I am trying to find out if migrating to 5b is something that would be worthwhile for me.

Do you need 3tb drive support?

Can you live or troubleshoot any beta issues that may or may not arise?

Is you hardware compatible?

 

If the answer is yes to all of the above go for it. I upgraded and ran issues. I had to go back but your experience could be different.

The point of my question was that I would like some advise in the route to take, eg: What is the best way for me to determine if I could expect an issue with my specific hardware?  Is there a list somewhere ? I have not found any negative issues on the forums..
