  • ok, never thought of that (yet)   noted, and yes, no deal breaker ... just have to think about how to tag either Docker or VM ... will leave a note here.   thanks for the feedback

  • Yes , only unbinding than reboot makes the gpu free than I attach it to VM and than it works for VM only and cannot be used for docker containers . To make it work for docker container i have to bind

i assume you mean the Info & help page or really the settings page ?

i mean the settings page in the pwn-plugin

apps/pwn-fan/actions/settings

grafik.thumb.png.7ab12ce612c401820cdc5d30ac918b99.png

and under User Utilities it is missing

may uninstall, remove plg and everything from /boot/config/plugins/ ... seems something is somehow broke

For the pwm-fan plugin, is there a way that I can add additional extra HDD configs? The chassis that I am using has 4 fans that cool an independent set of HDD's. Right now I can set the first & second columns of drives as one group, and the third and forth columns as a secondary group, but I would prefer to have each column to adjust the fan speed independently.

I've included photos of the chassis to help clarify how its setup (yellow arrows point to the fan's).

clear understood, but actually no intention to extend ... already extended once ;)

there is the autofan plugin if you want to controll all individually, may the better choice in your case for now.

never say never, but currently no priority here ... its on a feature list actually but cant tell when ...

currently prio is cache mover mockup to simplify code there.

thanks for the feedback its good for 2x hdd and 1x cpu

may a screen from your cache mover settings page which handles file delete by itself.

you can follow the state on the cache mover settings page, tag CACHE MOVER LOG

image.thumb.png.c348370f10ee6505873c36206c1e6bd5.png

still in range would mean its not ready to be deleted as last access was inside the keep hours.

i assume there is something not properly configured.

may as note, your mover tuning setup is not really ...

70 / 70 setup means

upper 70 free to lower 70, sample

71% filled will clean to 69 and then stop ... rather take something like 70 / 50 ... so 20+ % gets moved

age 150 ... means files needs to be at least 150 days old (5 month on cache only ...)

and so on ... may take a look there too ;)

but cached files from this plugin will be removed anyway by the plugin itself

image.thumb.png.bb8e5f9d7a7dc232a6727eb0d0084c2a.png

finally your mover tuning setup

dry run ... means mover will never really move, just showoff what could happen ;)

image.thumb.png.f7cc228a34deebbcf0ca79e223eb39c9.png

as mentioned, not related now about cached files deletion, only relationship between mover tuning and cache mover is

mover tuning setup, exclusions should be enabled and point to the same file

image.png.6f26bd0d5d8e54dc6132c40b5152d867.png

like in cache mover filepath

image.png.f41129603486a3e4b47dd1d9654da42c.png

those have to match ...

This is what I see on the cache mover … i added changes tot eh settings based on your comments. Does the app need to be started to kick in?IMG_2137.thumb.jpeg.d3a8ffe3a090247d60bb6f24fe9cce44.jpeg

Do the share settings need to be adjusted? I don’t have the plex move/tv folder on cache option…

all plugins updated with that cron issue ...

i wasnt aware that Unraid had some buildin "feature" to send Mails anyhow if there is a cron triggered ...

nevertheless you want Email messages or not ... and doesnt care if the plugin want to send messages or not ...

sorry guys, will be supressed now (at least it should be ...)

special Thanks @Viper020GER for pushing me to look deeper ;)

@alturismo

Thanks… forgive me i read this a couple of times but did not understand it. Could you expand on it? Are you referencing the file that ignores or excludes files from the move?

edit2: although, things could be clearer by changing pwm-fan to pwm-cpu-fan...

----

edit: nevermind, I believe this is not necessary as the log now shows two distinct entries for

- pwm-fan

- pwm-hdd-fan

----

original:

@alturismo, for the PWM fan plugin, would you consider adding the fan number to the log? I have both CPU and HDD fan enabled but the log just reads

Quote

Jan 21 20:25:01 <name> root: pwm-fan: set fan to value 15
Jan 21 20:26:01 <name> root: pwm-fan: set fan off

yes, i "play" together with the mover tuning plugin and "update" its ignore list so the cached files keeps untouched from mover ...

in sum, this plugin will take care of the cached files, as your files keeps on cache and are not post processed (removed from cached when watched)... i would like to see your setup page so i can tell more about it ;)

CACHE MOVER

Hi, was there an update to Cache Mover relating to file paths? It's not working now. I just updated to 2025.01.21, still does not work. It was working correctly last weekend.

Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: move / copy /mnt/user0/media/library//movies/Star Trek First Contact (1996) 0/ to /mnt/cache_media/media/library//movies/Star Trek First Contact (1996) 0/
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: sending incremental file list
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: rsync: [sender] change_dir "/mnt/user0/media/library//movies/Star Trek First Contact (1996) 0" failed: No such file or directory (2)
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover:
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: sent 19 bytes received 12 bytes 62.00 bytes/sec
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: total size is 0 speedup is 0.00
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1338) [sender=3.3.0]
Jan 21 22:46:02 Vault root: cache-mover: grep: Invalid range end

this is the folder path for the movie:

/mnt/user/media/library/movies/Star Trek First Contact (1996) [imdbid-tt0117731]

a folder on the cache_media pool is created, but it's not correct:

/mnt/user/media/library/movies/Star Trek First Contact (1996) 0

additionally, the folder is created with:

  • owner: root
  • permissions: drwxr-xr-x

instead of:

  • owner: nobody
  • permissions: drwxrwxrwx

Thanks, hope this helps!

but im aware that brackets can cause issues and im rewriting currently some parts ... also to look for it ...

but actually in my point of view, brackets in filenames ... post processing in other apps can cause issues ...

but yes, on my todo list, but i wont invest endless time therefore ... in my personal opinion, its a failed naming schema, i followed all Plex rules actually and there are no brackets ;) but im aware other "sideapps" are including imdb in brackets ...

and may as note, im pretty sure your rewrite rule is not correct

i guess there is a tralling slash on your Media Server Host Path

understood - thank you. Odd it was working exactly as intended last weekend though. I did testing with you on January 13 related and my logs all have movies with bracketed names. I have not changed any Cache Mover settings since then. See attached image.

Correct, there was a trailing slash, I just removed it and applied change. But again, it was like that last weekend, too.

i believe so ... i know alot using brackets (meanwhile im aware of that ...) and there was a fix for brackets in the exclusion lists ...

but the core didnt change (yet), last change was rewrite addition ...

you can check yourself on git ;)

image.thumb.png.deb29200115a2086987222a6a36163a1.png

the last update for now was just a quick fix to solve Email spam on cron triggers, see some posts above, came up related to pwm fan ... but i added this to all my plugins as i wasnt aware that a cron triggers always a mail (if mail address was setted up)

so only the 2 cron setup procedures where changed ...

image.thumb.png.9ce568d663fb287d5628fe53a613924c.png

so for now, cant tell what should have changed ... but there is a rewrite "work in progress" and im also looking forward ...

but as mentioned, brackets are "command" characters ... so really a bad idea in terms of coding and escaping ... ;)

Understood, I'm changing the folder structure format as we speak to remove [] or {} and replacing with ().

Thank you!

See below. I did read somewhere on here that I need to set folder to cache primary and secondary array then when I clicked on mover it did the trick I’m guessing it should work with it better now? But not sure…IMG_2148.thumb.jpeg.d53ac826f838cf2ece9209b93275065f.jpeg
