Another UPS question

Featured Replies

I hope to get my UPS soon (APC SUAxxxx). Is it suffice to install apcupsd and clean powerdown to gracefully powerdown my server?

Will it also powerdown when SABNZB is running and has files open?

The UPS will be connected to the Unraid server by serial or USB cable.

How much runtime should the UPS have left to powerdown the server? Is 5 minutes enough?

The way I see it is:

Power outage----->APC switches to batteries---->After xx minutes other devices are shutdown--->After xx minutes UPS has 5 min. left then signals server to powerdown.

Is that correct?

I also plan to power other NASes (Qnap and Thecus) through the UPS. Can these be stutdown gracefully too?

Can it be managed over LAN?
