March 22, 201214 yr Hello, I've been able to get my external usb mac-format hfsplus drive to mount, but it will only mount as a read-only file system. I would like to be able to read and write to and from this disc. I used mount -w -t hfsplus /dev/sdj /mnt/burns/ The -w is supposed to be read/write, so I suspect I'm missing some other important par of the puzzle. Like an ntfs-3g driver, but for hfsplus. Googling has been fruitless. Thanks!
June 10, 201214 yr Having the same problem myself. I've tried mounting via unMenu and via command line. Seems to think it's being mounted as writeable, but when I try to mkdir on the drive I get a Read Only error.
June 10, 201214 yr I'm talking out of my butt on this, but have you checked permissions? I'm not even sure it's relevant on hfsplus, but it couldn't hurt to check.
