TapRackPull
So, I recently upgraded from 4.7 to 5.14b. Previous to this I had 4.7 up an running without any issues. Since the upgrade, I can no longer copy data to the server, only from. I am all ears as to what I have done wrong. Probably something pretty simple, but I'm stumped... Thanks for your help TRP Link to comment
TapRackPull
It seems that my problem could be an issue of permissions. Since everything on the server is classified as read-only. Is there a way that I can change this? My preference woud be to allow anyone to connect to the server, not just specified users. Link to comment
dgaschk
Did you run the new permissions script? Link to comment
TapRackPull
Yes, I did run the script, and just to be certain I re-ran the script... afterwards, I pulled my head out of my a$$ and started to remember a little code. ls -la told me that all but 3 user shares were read/writable to everyone... so I chmod 777 those shares. Now my only question is whether that will propagate after the next reboot. I suppose there is only one way to tell, but since it is up and running, why screw with a good thing. Link to comment
