Server Slowing Down and Becoming Unresponsive

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue where my server randomly slows down significantly.

In some instances, the UI becomes completely unresponsive, and I've had to resort to using the power button to restart the server.

Recently, it happened again, but this time the UI was very slow, though I was still able to perform some actions. I attempted to stop a few containers to resolve the issue, but it didn’t help. Eventually, I had to reboot the server through the UI.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on how to troubleshoot and fix this issue?

Thank you!

P.S. I'm attaching two syslogs. The latest crash occurred at the end of the first file, on Dec 9.

If it happens again, and the GUI becomes very slow, try to get the diags from that time and also a screenshot from the RAM usage in the dashboard.

I'll try.

I tried running diagnostics during this latest slowdown, but everything just hung and never finished.

Also, nether memory or CPU usage wasn't showing up in the dashboard at the time.

Last night, I started a memory test. It ran for 13 hours and didn't find any errors.

It would be important to try and get the memory usage at the time, excessive memory pressure can sometimes result in an unresponsive GUI, next time type

Before these problems, I had already ordered an extra 16GB of RAM.

And after the update I never had the problem again.

So I'm blaming this one on low memory
