December 11, 20241 yr Hey guys, after spending hours of try and error I'm just gonna make a post. So I noticed yesterday that my gpu transcoding for plex is not working anymore. I cant exactly say for how long but it worked like 2 weeks or so ago and I didnt change anything besides updating plugins/docker regularly. I also set up sonarr and radarr recently. I was hoping that updating unraid to 6.12.14 would maybe help but no luck. I tried so far: reinstalling nvidia-driver plugin from ich777 reinstalling plex docker turn docker off and on again switch the settings within plex off and on I'm using the plex docker from linuxserver with a lifetime plex pass, a quadro 1000 and I'm on unraid 6.12.14 now. My GPU goes into state P8 when Im not using plex. Idk if thats causing issues. I do that by having "nvidia-persistenced" in the go.dat file on the flash drive. December 11, 20241 yr Community Expert the driver need to be int he plex docker itself as well. I use linux server plex docker... Nvidia dropped support for pascal cards... Since unraid sees the card you may be able to pass the nvidia device with this extra parameter. and template options: then in plex select the card and apply settings in the docker console and type nvidis-smi do you see the g-card?
December 13, 20241 yr Author Solution Solved! Apparently the problem having "nvidia-persistenced" in the go.dat file on the flash drive. The gpu didnt seem to get out of P8 anymore. Weirdly enough its gonna go idle to P8 now on its own. Didnt to that when I first set it up thats why I had the line there to begin with. Imma watch it a little longer but so far it looks promising and fixed. Lets see if it stays that way

I did had it set up like that with those parameters again (expet the --device...). Found a solution to my problem now luckily. Thanks for the help anyway!!
