Main Menu showing drive with errors

Featured Replies

On my main home page drive 5 is showing 91 errors even though Parity ran and had zero errors.

Version - 4.7 Pro

MotherBoard - Supermicro - X7SBE rev 1.1

I have two Supermicro SAS cards

PowerSupply - Corsair TX650

RAM - 4GB Kingston

CPU - Pentium® Dual-Core  CPU      E6500  @ 2.93GHz

15 Hard drives + Parity

I believe the proper action is to:

un-assign the drive from the array

power down

check cables

power back up and let unRaid rebuild the drive

Or is this drive dying?

The drive has one pending sector but looks ok. Rebuild and post another SMART report.

Drive rebuilt and new parity check now showing 19 errors.  A copy of Smart Report for Drive 5.

Current_Pending_Sector  -  9

Disk 5 is starting to go out. I would RMA it. I never know what to do first: A parity check yes or no? Corrective or not? But I wouldn't trust any data to that disk anymore.

Disk 5 needs to be rebuilt. Replace with a pre-cleared spare. Then pre-clear the current disk5 and see is the pending sectors gets worse.
