Flash GUID question

Can the Flash GUID neccessary for the license key be retreived in Windows? It would be easier because I won't have to reboot my server that way.

I can read mine from the unRAID main page... just clicked on "Flash" to go to the settings page.

YMMV  :)

I hope you did not mean by pulling the flash drive out of a running unraid server an puting it in a windows box then returning it to the unraid server.  I would strongly recemend against that.

I agree with Johnm, pulling the drive out of the machine will running and putting in windows, while maybe not causing damage, is risky, you can damage the filesystem, corrupt files, and generally make unraid very unhappy.

You can get the flash GUID off of unraid by clicking on "Flash" from the main screen on the webGUI, just as dikkedirk said. This is the most reliable method to get the GUID as you can guarantee this is the GUID unRAID will see. However unlikely, if windows reported something differently, your license would not work with unRAID.

In order for the paid license to work you will have to reboot the server anyway.
