Unraid - Recommended backup process with an external drive

I have Unraid installed on a NAS with total of 23,6TB with two 18TB drives and two 3GB drives. I have now attached an external drive (18TB) for to use for local backup. 

 

The NAS drives are formatted as ZFS and so are the external drive. 

 

I was thinking using SpaceInvaderOne's guide: https://github.com/SpaceinvaderOne/Unraid_ZFS_Dataset_Snapshot_and_Replications

 

I guess this will do the trick? Any other suggestions?
