Mover doesn't allow AppData to be moved from pool to array

Featured Replies

I have a scenario where I want to move my system and appdata folder from a striped zfs pool to a new ssd cache. I read that Mover doesn't allow transfer from pool to pool. So I wanted to move my AppData to a single disk in my array first but that also doesn't work. Once I chose Primary Storage as Array I don't have an option to select a secondary storage to move from zfs pool -> array. I want my docker and appdata folders to be on my new SSD cache. How can I go about it? Any ideas? I tried earlier moving from pool to pool and got the syslog error "No space left on device".

You need primary storage to be the pool, secondary storage the array; and mover direction as pool->array.   This is covered Here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page. The Unraid OS->Manual section in particular covers most features of the current Unraid release.

I got it to work after setting my ZFS pool to primary storage and secondary storage to the new SSD cache and moved from ZFS to SSD worked. If I set primary storage to SSD cache and secondary storage ZFS and move from ZFS to SSD it does not work. Is this expected? Because I had someone try it on their system and for them it worked in both directions which is kinda strange.

I kinda have a similar question, could you maybe help me out?, please see:

Thx
