December 22, 20241 yr I have started noticing this highly iritating issue in windows 11 vm when mouse and keybourd is passed though. The mouse would work fine but then randomly drop out. I then have to remotly access the vm or web ui. go to vms then reattach the mouse using hot plug pluggin. The keybourd on occation does drop out. I am not sure how I can find out the cause of the issue. This is on windows 23H2 22631.4602 installed on 970 pro ssd passed though and unraid 6.12.10 I have tried using usb 2 ports instead of usb 3 but does not seam to fix the issue. unsure if the latest stable would sort it? last i upgrade from 6.9 I had to switch to a differnet m.2 ssd for the vm due to a kvm update that made my wd drive not compatible and I really dont need all that again. I suspect the device is disconnecting for some reason, normally the device with change bus/dev numbers. Nothing in the pastebin also the two above are a controler/hub disconnecting + storage. Is the keyboard/mouse connected via a hub?

Is the keyboard/mouse connected via a hub? No its connected directly to the computer currently using the 2 usb 2 ports on the front of the case. but would like to be able to use the rear usb 3 ports on the back of the motherboard Got it set up ok so after reattached the mouse, it did it again but without the Windows device disconnected sound. it just stopped. https://privatebin.net/?782ba457c8144a8c#5VbHB8g9ExPaiAqP4EzcJK8qN77BgLVbGUvCuyzVRkTg Edited December 24, 20241 yr by Goldmaster same issue without sound

Shows as connected, but the keyboard is shows as disconnected outside by works fine. Unsure if upgrading to latest stable would make any difference, but need a whole day in case something goes south Edited December 24, 20241 yr by Goldmaster
