Destination Folders deleted when moving files to them

Featured Replies

I have had this problem twice.  When I am trying to move files using "Cut and Paste" I end up deleting the destination folder.  The method I use frequently in Windows XP is to cut the files I want to move and then paste it to the destination folder.  Then the folder disappears.  I am not pasting inside the destination folder but clicking on the folder itself.

Any ideas and is there a means to recover the folder?
