Allow editing Container detail as a Json (or other structures but displayed/editable as a raw text)

Featured Replies

Right now I can only add 1 variable per time via GUI through multiple button click.

Allow, maybe as an advance mode, to view and edit all variable as a json, or maybe xml?, structure (in the backend it's already stored as some type of structure I suppose?)

This will make it easier to bulk edit/add variables.

Thanks!

You can use Yacht or Portainer to make it easier/faster to make edits to vairables right now if that works for you. Not the same as editing a raw text file but quite a bit faster with many less clicks than Unraid's UI. In portainer you can also load (import) env files containing multiple definitions at one time.

Thanks. Tried Yacht!

Is it expected that Yacht can see/edit all vars defined in Unraid GUI or is that not possible?

Asking because when I try "Editing" an application in Yacht GUI, it brings me a "Deploy" page with everything empty.image.thumb.png.eb8498354cb1997ace52b2bd52b1f07e.png

If it can't I'll keep it as a nice resource monitor for docker.

Yacht generally shows all of the info from Unraid's Dockerman setup:

Thanks.

Something must be wrong with my install. I'll follow up maybe in Yacht related forums.

If it works like so and can also support edit/saves, then it indeed is a good supplement if this isn't going to be natively supported.

Do you have the Docker socket set (properly) in the Yacht docker config?

It's hidden below "Show More Settings" by default.

I checked that and it is the same as yours here.

What's strange is the docker can see all containers in dashboard, CPU/MEM usage are correctly loaded.

Just when I click into Edit for each container, it's all blank.

The only thing I changed is the WebUI port.

You can load envs in Unraid also, there's just not a dedicated UI element to do this.
Just something like this in the Extra Parameters will do the trick:

--env-file=/mnt/cache/appdata/homepage/.env
