March 29, 201214 yr It would definitely support 3TB as a secondary(storage) drive, and that MB should have EFI, so it should support booting from the drive as long as your OS allows it. I'd say your good to go,
March 31, 201214 yr Author All installed and working beautifully!!! Now to wait for hard drives to come back down in price. One of mine keeps failing the SMART thingy.... still works though.
April 1, 201214 yr Keep an eye on it, take a screenshot or write down the results that way you can compare it and keep an eye on the numbers. Also, if the server is somewhere you can't hear it, pop in from time to time and take a good listen while writing something to that disk to make sure its not making funny noises.
