zfs auto snapshot

Featured Replies

Hello. In the process of using unRaid 7, I am very satisfied with the use of zfs, but I don’t know if some functions are in your plan. During use, I have always hoped to be able to operate the data set in the gui like truenas. Automatically take snapshots and determine how long backups should be retained. Because I will have more or less problems when using plug-ins or scripts, I still hope to be able to operate directly in the gui.

spaceinvaderone's sanoid/syncoid user.script is pretty easy to use. For manual snapshotting zfs_master is also pretty convenient.

A built in GUI would be nice to have.

i'd love to see zfs auto snapshot implemented by the OS. it should be part of the ZFS offering in my opinion.

this exists as plugins and scripts...

Came here to say this exact thing. auto snapshots should be a part of unraid by default
