Hi I am a newbie and I have a 7870. I am unsure how to hook it up to my power supply. I have an antec modular truepower 650w. There are 4 rails, 2 for a harddrive, 2 for a video card (25 Amps each). My question is do I use the two rails from the power supply to power the 2x6 pins on the video card or only one rail with the 2x 6 pin connector? any help would be great, thanks for your time g

That's a bit much of a video card for unRAID. Does your board have on board video because if it does I would highly suggest that over that card. Simply for the power draw.

 

Heck even a 10-15 Dollar used Video Card would be highly recommended over that card.

... and that psu is not ideally suited to server use, either, with four 12V rails.

I get the feeling he didnt understand this was an unRAID forum.
