docker host script replacment

Featured Replies

It would be nice to have the abilty for the host to run a command or script when/after a docker start run comand.

if using the unraid template the docker run -d / -it for detached... followed by shell

&& /pathtoscirpt or command...

would start the docker and then run a script/command
then the docker would run and the unraid host would run xyz
There are some niche cases.

My workaroud curently is to use user scripts to start the docker and then run the scripts or commands. It would be nice to see a entry in the docker tempalte at the bottom soemhting like host run after docekr.

so dockers taht replace services for unraid can run a host comand to stop said servces.
from example ssh to vpn to xyz unraid servce that is now a docker.

some other things as somewhat seen with tailscale docker tempalte commands. this would allow the abilty to run tailscale coamnds after a docer starts that may afect the docker for tail scale in the future.

for now i'm ok with a user script to run command

docker ls
docker start <container name>
scrip comands

Thought this might be a nice niche case feature to see in the future
