March 30, 201214 yr I think this is a shot in the dark but figured I would ask. Recently upgraded to a Dish Network Hopper system, I has DLNA built into it. Now I could run a DLNA server on my HTPC for it to run off from. But then I was wondering if their is any DLNA server that will run on the UnRaid box? Has to beable to trascode to a format the Hopper will play. Sounds like minidlna doesn't do any coding.

April 2, 201214 yr Author Plex media server has announced DLNA support, with ability to add in profiles for different devices. It's in beta, and hasn't quite been built for linux, but it's coming... I tried Plex on a windows machine and the Hopper won't see it, or Window's media server for that matter. I think I am going to wait until Dish gets the bugs worked out of the DLNA on the Hopper and then start over on this.
