I am attempting to expand my array. I've added a FastTrack 4310 firmware 2.8.1.004 (latest) and a Seagate 1TB drive ... ST31000340AS

 

I've got the controller set to JOBD, and the drive appears in the device list, and I can add it to the config.

However, once I check the Start box, the system freezes while clearing the drive.

I've attached my syslog, I have screen shots of the error text, but am being told they are too big.

 

ANY help would be appreciated.

 

Long range plan is to get another controller, so that may become a short(er) range plan.  lol

That syslog is after a reboot and tells us almost nothing.

 

we need to see the images you took to help much at all.  Upload then to imageshak of something like that and link to them.
