March 31, 201214 yr Just added a new HDD to my unraid and just got home and checked on it all drives are spun down expect the new one. its a wd green EARX its already passed the formatting stage and i see it registered in my free space..any ideas? thanks

Other than to check to see if it is in a spin-up group.

Other than to check to see if it is in a spin-up group. its not in a spin-up group all the other disk are set to default this one i will set a manual spin down see if it does the trick...it was the same situation this morning when i checked it all spun down expect this one...do you think maybe cuz i havent put any data on it? doesnt make sense that would do it just checking lol
March 31, 201214 yr Author the moment i put the individual disk to spin down in 3 hours (same as my default) it immedatly spun down. then i put it back to default and it appears to stay spun down...ill mark this as solved..?
