Please help me thinking: DFI MB and USB-HDD problem

Featured Replies

I have a DFI LT X38-T2R MB in my server. I want to use the Kingston MobileLite G2 USB reader + 4 GB SD card holding the unraid server software in it.

When I go in the BIOS and look in Hard disk boot priority I see 2 drives connected to the SATA ports, 2 Ports of the ARC1200 card and the Kingston reader listed as USB-HDD0 in 5th place. I can move the Kingston reader to 1st place press F10 to save the settings and reboot to unraid without a problem. But when I power-down the server this setting is lost and the BIOS reverts back to the old situation where the Kingston reader is in 5th place in Hard disk boot priority and unraid won't boot. I just get a Disk Boot error. Can it be a timing issue where the Reader/SD-card is detected too late and the BIOS reverts back? With a "normal" USB stick everything is just fine.
