Moved to HBA Card - Two drives wont spin down

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I recently re-did my server and got the JONSBO N5 Case and a 9305-16i LSI card. Running Unraid v7 RC2

My Specs:

ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4/ac

Intel Core i5-10500

32GB DDR4 Ram

Intel Arc A380

Realtek 2.5GB NIC

LSI 9305-16i

I updated the firmware with the latest version from Broadcom's website via Windows and then plugged it into the Unraid Server. It picked up everything and didn't even do a parity check! Cool!

However, out of my 6 drives -- two wont spin down, funny enough they are both the new drives i bought from GoHardDrive they are two 14TB HDDs. When connected to the onboard Sata Ports -- there were no issues and everything was spinning down correctly.

Would anyone know where the issue would be? I googled and didn't see much for info.

Diag Logs Attached

Thanks!

If the other disks spin down it suggests a compatibly issue between those drives and the LSI, don't recommend using white label drives.
