rackmount case for micro ATX motherboard?

Featured Replies

Hello

Which minimum rackmount size (1U,2U, 3U or 4U) is requested to install a micro ATX motherboard (with OEM heatsink and fan - AMD Sempron LE-1100) and a 450W Corsair PSU?

Any recommendations for hot swap drive cages?

Thanks

How many drives do you intend to add over the life of this motherboard?

If I want to keep the same license, I would say 6 total (maybe 7 if I go with a cache disk)

I already have 1 parity (2TB) and 3 x 1.5TB data

Pretty much any 2U or larger case will accommodate a full ATX motherboard.  A 1U server is also large enough to take an ATX motherboard, but not tall enough to accommodate a standard CPU heatsink.  Atom CPU boards and other low profile ATX systems will work in a 1U.
