Cache Drive died / Dockers gone

Featured Replies

Can anyone point me to a thread to restore dockers that I backed up with the Appdata Backup tool ?

I have removed the cache drive and placed back in but its says it has no operating system and needs to be formatted. I have not done this yet.

I have backups but cant seem to understand how to load the docker data from backups.  I attached a picture.

What other info can I provide?

You can go directly to the correct support thread for any of your plugins by clicking on its Support link in the Plugins page of your Unraid webUI.

Did you disable Docker and VM Manager in Settings before replacing cache?

I have not replaced the cache per say -  when I first saw something was wrong I took a look and it said the drive was "missing"

I rebooted and it still said not missing.  I removed it and rebooted. Now the drive seems to no longer be missing - but it also is reporting it is "unmountable or missing file system,"

Unraid is prompting me to format it.  I have not done that yet.

i failed to mention - my appdata backup/restore is saved in  /mnt/disk1/share_backup/ab_20241013_181402

The reason I asked is because if Docker/VM Manager was enabled when cache was missing, they will have created their files on the array instead of cache where they belong.

The docker/Vm was enabled when the cache was corrupted/missing - i am interested in knowing where they saved if you are saying they were saved on the array.

I definitely need to sort out my cache drive and backup/restore plan... since I was in semi panic.  The fact that I had to restore from backup from October is not good way to operate.
