January 5, 20251 yr The Issue: For approximately the past six weeks, my Docker services have been failing every Sunday morning before 5 a.m. When I log into Unraid and check the Docker tab, I see “Docker service failed to start, the only fix has been rebooting the server, which resolves the issue until the following Sunday. I run a set of home automations on the servers and the 5:30am ones do not run, but the 4am ones trigger. The server has been rock solid for years with me getting months of uptime out of it. What I’ve Tried: Removed the Docker image and reinstalled all containers. (really hoped this would fix the issue) Upgraded to the latest Unraid version. Checked for any scheduled tasks that run on Sunday mornings, as it always happens at same time. Diagnostics report is from this morning, before I rebooted the server. cofre-diagnostics-20250105-0615.zip
January 5, 20251 yr Author The only thing - I can see that runs on Sunday morning is the trim scheduler at 3am.
January 5, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution The pool has filesystem issues and it's going read only: Jan 5 05:00:03 Cofre kernel: BTRFS error (device sdf1): incorrect extent count for 67676143616; counted 1345, expected 1337 Jan 5 05:00:03 Cofre kernel: BTRFS: error (device sdf1: state A) in convert_free_space_to_extents:466: errno=-5 IO failure Jan 5 05:00:03 Cofre kernel: BTRFS info (device sdf1: state EA): forced readonly With btrfs, suggest backing it up and recreating.
January 5, 20251 yr Author thank you - will back it up and recreate the pool and see if that fixes the issues.
