pfSense not recognizing NIC even though it is passed through.

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have 3 2.5G ethernet ports, one built into the motherboard (Gigabyte Z890 UD WIFI 6E), and two PCIe NICs (TP-Link TX201 2.5G).

Currently I am using an ATT Gateway in bridge to a TP-Link router, to a 16-port TP-Link Managed switch, to the server. This is plugged in to one of the two NICs for "normal" operation as I have it configured currently as eth0.

The other NIC has been disabled from Unraid seeing and using it for eth1 or bonding so that it could be passed through to the VM.

Below are screenshots of what I am seeing for pfSense config as well as what happens after boot.

Also in it's current state, pfSense VM pins CPU 16 at 99% when it is running. Image below is without the VM running.

If there is any further details I can provide, please let me know.

Thanks!
