I've been using my Unraid server for a few months now, primarily to run Immich. My setup consists of two 1 TB refurbished hard drives in an old laptop — one as a parity drive and the other for storage.

Lately, I've been experiencing a number of issues that I'm hoping to get some help with.

1. Storage Drive Errors: The storage drive seems to be showing a significant number of errors. I'm concerned about potential data loss but am unsure when the last parity backup was taken (it's set to run weekly). To be cautious, I’ve been forcefully trying to run parity checks over the past few days, but it's taking an extremely long time to complete. So far, it's fixed 10,508 sync errors and has only checked 167 GB (16.7%) of the 1 TB drive.
2. System Unresponsiveness: The Unraid system has been becoming increasingly unresponsive and slower than usual. Docker applications have also been failing to run — some even get deleted, requiring me to reinstall them. This issue has only started happening recently.
3. SMART Error: The dashboard also shows a SMART error for the data drive, which is adding to my concern.

 

I’ve attached the system diagnostics for further investigation. Can anyone help me understand what's going on and how to resolve these issues?

Also IF I were to physically remove and change to another data drive, would the system restore itself? Or I would have to do something?
