"Your flash drive is corrupted or offline" notification

Featured Replies

We had a quick power surge a few days ago (most likely due to weather), but I have a UPS so the server never shut down. Not sure if this is the cause or not... is my USB drive dead?

The syslog already rotated so we can't see the start of the issue, but it does look as if it dropped offline, try using a different USB port, use a USB 2.0 port if possible, and if it happens again, replace the flash drive.

Should I shut down, copy the flash drive, and give it a reboot per your instructions?

First you can try booting just using a different USB port.

This worked fine. I've got a complete network rebuild coming up shortly, so I'll see if the internal USB still works on that reboot (fingers crossed). I'm also going to go ahead and replace the drive... I wish I'd have gotten a whole bag of the lower capacity ones long ago.

Anywho, thanks again for the advice.
