greg602
When attempting to follow this instructions posted on the Configuration Tutorial, I get the following error when trying to install and configure the Mail and SSMTP package via unmenu: "(MD5 of existing downloaded file NOT matched - download may be corrupted or download URL no longer valid.)" This appears when clicking the "Download ssmtp_2.62.orig.tar.gz" button. Thanks for the help. - Greg Quote Link to comment
dikkiedirk
Maybe a problem with the file or server down? Quote Link to comment
dgaschk
Make sure that you have the latest version of unmenu. Quote Link to comment
greg602
I suppose its possible that the server that hosts that file is down, although it is still not working today. Latest version of unmenu has been installed and I have checked for updates. Any other thoughts? Thanks for the help! - Greg Quote Link to comment

SSGoku_usa
I ran into the same problem I found the file here https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ssmtp/2.62-3ubuntu1 downloaded it and put it on the flash drive then installed it from the pkg manager I haven't tested it yet but it looks to be installed correctly. powerchoke
I made some slight mods to my /boot/packages/mail-ssmtp-unmenu-package.conf to download and install v2.64 obtained from here: http://packages.debian.org/source/squeeze/ssmtp. I commented out the lines referencing v2.62 and replaced them with 2.64 directly below where necessary, updated the md5 checksum, and added an additional step to rename the ssmtp dir to conform to that required by the installation script. It works great for me, but of course, use at your own risk. mail-ssmtp-unmenu-package.conf Quote Link to comment

garycase
I'm getting the exact same error -- as you can see in the attached file. Using the latest version of UnMenu ... with the replacement .conf file mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm at a loss as to how to get SSMTP to install correctly. [it's also not at all clear exactly what the Configuration Variables need to be -- but that's a lot easier to "play" (i.e. experiment) with after the package actually gets loaded.
