SOLVED - 7.0.0 - Terminal closing after 10 seconds

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm currently unable to use the terminal as it closes automatically about 10 seconds after opening.

It doesn't close while htop is running, but once htop is closed, the terminal closes 5 seconds later.

I've tested this with Firefox, an empty profile of Firefox without any plugins, Vivaldi and Microsoft Edge.

The result is always the same, the terminal closes automatically after about 10 seconds.

Don't remember seeing any other similar reports, please try after rebooting in safe mode to rule out any plugin issues.

Same terminal behaviour in safe mode.

Try booting with a new flash drive using a stock install, no key needed, then retest, that will confirm if it's an issue with your config or something external.

I tested it again with my notebook, which does not show this behaviour.

I suspect my desktop's internet security software is the cause of this behaviour.

Edit: Turns out it's the G-Data Internet Security WebPortection.

Adding the URL of my Unriad server to the exception list solved the problem, the terminal won't close and the VNC console can successfully connect to the VM.
