First time setup - not getting IP addresses

Setting up unraid for the first time on a newly built machine, but I'm not getting IP addresses. I've searched a number of other discussion forums and can't seem to find a related issue. Looking for any guidance on what to troubleshoot next as I cannot find anything meaningful in the logs that stands out.

ethtool has no link detected.

Are you sure you have a good connection to your ethernet port?

@trurl thanks for looking --
1. network and ethernet cable coming into the box are working (tested on other devices)

2. it is a new motherboard. I'm getting LEDs on the port indicating connection, but not sure if there are issues with NIC or some compatibility issues with unraid

There has been some problems with Realtek.

Do you have another network card you could try?

I don't have another card, it is an itx board with Intel Killer E5000B 5G LAN (per specs_

Using a USB to ethernet, I was able to get an IP address. Any advice on getting Unraid to work with LAN port?

Intel NICs are OK, but that NIC isn't showing in your Diagnostics.

81:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Device [10ec:5000] (rev 04)
Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. [MSI] Device [1462:7e33]

Some digging looks like this Killer nic is Realtek RTL8126 chip.

Not sure how you end up with a mobo that has a different NIC than advertised, will follow-up with MSI on that one.

Am I out of luck trying to get the existing NIC to work?

There are plugins for realtek NICs. Can your server access the internet now?

My thoughts exactly.

Grab the RTL8126 PCI Drivers plugin from CA.

I'll try this out -- confirmed I can access internet through terminal (still getting used to unraid UI)

Thanks @trurl and @Veah -- will update this thread to confirm if this resolves the issue later

Confirmed that this worked, to summarize the problem and discovery in case anyone from the future lands here.

1. Attempted setup with MSI z890i Edge Mobo, ethernet would not detect due to Realtek support

2. Had to use a USB to Ethernet cable to complete setup

3. Setup system and installed RTL8126 PCI Drivers plugin from CA

Thanks for this I've got the same problem with a Z890 Tomahawk. Hopefully it works for me too.
