April 6, 201214 yr I'm using Midnight Commander to merge some directories within drives and I'm having the exact same problem that was listed and solved at their website here: https://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/2276 I'll just copy his message since it's what is presently happening to me: 1) Left panel /home/ - has directory aaa1 with some files 2) Right panel /u00/ - also has directory aaa1 with some files 3) Try to copy(F5) directory aaa1 from Left panel to Right 4) Result - /u00/aaa1/aaa1 instead of updated content of /u00/aaa1 It's moving the directories one level deeper rather than just doing a true merge. If the directory on the right panel (aaa1) does not exist, then it will move the directories/files just fine into /u00/aaa1, but if aaa1 already exists, it will move the files into /u00/aaa1/aaa1 I tried to figure out what version of MC comes w/Unraid v4.7, but I couldn't seem to locate it. Anyone else have this issue? Nate

Nate I have never had this issue and have used MC to numerous moves between disks. However, I don't tend to copy/move aaa1. I go into the directory, mark each folder and then move them (while also already being in aaa1 folder in destination). I've never had an issue this way.
June 30, 201412 yr as above, might have a play when the server not tied up. Transferring around 2.5tb atm and don't wanna throw a spanner in the works, you could just rip it off in a shell. So what you mean is this https://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/2745 , have you updated mc? unraid 5 highest release is using mc-4.7.5.2 which is like 2011 going by slackware its built on ( mc --version shows squat), try sticking mc-4.8.10-i486-2.txz on http://pkgs.org/download/mc and see if it solves it if your using unraid 5 32bit i have no idea where 6 stands.
