January 17, 20251 yr I have my drives encrypted, originally with a passphrase and then added a keyfile. Has been working totally fine, is set to grab the keyfile via scp from another machine on my LAN at boot. I upgraded from 6.12.6 to 6.12.14 last night, and rebooted this morning. Now I cannot decrypt my drives. I thought perhaps something had gone wrong with my scp scheme, so I tried to manually use a copy I have of the keyfile through the web UI. Doesn't work. Entering the original passphrase doesn't work either. In all cases I am told it is the wrong encryption key, though it is not. I tried a downgrade back to 6.12.6 to see if that miraculously solved the problem... it did not. I am in very big trouble here. Any thoughts, anything to try?
January 17, 20251 yr Author Solution Update - multiple soft reboots did not change anything. A complete power cycle has resolved the issue. Very strange. So now I guess my question is if this had anything to do with the OS update? I'm gun shy to try updating it again.
January 17, 20251 yr Community Expert Unlikely that is upgrade related, would recommend running memtest.
