January 17, 20251 yr I removed a 6TB drive from my array and inserted a 24TB as a replacement. Went through all the usual steps and waited 3 days for the drive to be rebuilt with the new drive. After it finished, I was no longer able to access the web GUI. Restarted the array and the new drive was unmountable without reformatting. After trying multiple things, I went ahead and formatted the new drive and it works like it should. I still have the old drive with all the information on it. Is there a way to add that information to the new drive? Sorry, I hope you followed that :-)

January 17, 20251 yr Community Expert Sorry, I didn't read the entire post, if you've already formatted the disk, now the only option is to restore the data from the old one, but those issues are usually resolved by doing a check filesystem.

January 17, 20251 yr Community Expert You can mount the old disk with the UD plugin, and then copy the data over, assuming you have an extra SATA port.

January 17, 20251 yr Community Expert Since you are on v7, you can use the integrated file manager: I assume it supports UD paths, if not, you can use for example, Midnight Commander (mc on the CLI)
